How Often Should You Get a Facial?
The honest answer depends on your skin — but here's a simple rule of thumb.
By Maya Ahmed ·

Clients often ask this apologetically, as if there's a "correct" number they should already know. There isn't — but there is a useful logic.
The 4-week rule
Skin cells turn over roughly every 28 days (slower as we age). A professional facial every 4–6 weeks supports that cycle: removing build-up, boosting hydration and letting your home products work better. This is the sweet spot for most women visiting a facial salon in Lahore.
Adjust for your skin
- Oily or acne-prone: every 3–4 weeks, alternating clarifying and calming treatments.
- Dry or mature: every 4–6 weeks with a hydration focus.
- Sensitive or rosacea-prone: every 6–8 weeks, gentle treatments only.
- Normal / maintenance: every 6–8 weeks, plus a HydraFacial before big events.
When more isn't better
Weekly facials — especially with extractions or acids — can compromise your skin barrier. If your skin feels tight, shiny or reactive, you're overdoing it.
Signs you're due
Makeup sitting unevenly, dullness that moisturiser doesn't fix, small bumps along the jaw, or products that "stopped working" — these usually mean surface build-up.
Make it count between visits
SPF daily, a gentle cleanser, and not over-exfoliating at home. A facial is a reset; your routine is the maintenance.
