Bridal Skin Care Routine Before Your Wedding
Glowing bridal skin is planned, not bought. Here's the timeline I give every bride.
By Maya Ahmed ·

Every week a bride-to-be asks me for "one facial that will fix everything" a few days before her wedding. I understand the hope — but skin renews itself roughly every 28 days, so real change takes a season. Here's the plan I'd give my own sister.
3 months before
1. Get a professional skin analysis
Before buying anything, understand your skin type, sensitivities and concerns. This is the first session of our pre-bridal skin programme.
2. Fix the basics at home
Gentle cleanser, a vitamin C serum in the morning, moisturiser, SPF 50 every single day, and a retinoid or gentle exfoliating acid two to three nights a week if your skin tolerates it. That's the whole routine.
3. Start a facial schedule
A facial every two weeks builds on the last. Brightening, then hydration, then a HydraFacial closer to the date.
2 months before
4. Address specific concerns
Pigmentation, acne marks and texture respond to consistent treatment — not last-minute panic. Book targeted sessions now.
5. Look after your body skin
Backs, arms and décolletage show in bridal outfits. Add a monthly body polish and moisturise daily.
6. Sleep and water — genuinely
Seven hours of sleep and 2.5 litres of water a day change skin more visibly than most serums.
1 month before
7. Test your bridal makeup on prepared skin
Your trial should happen on skin that's already improving, so your artist sees the real canvas.
8. Stop experimenting
No new products, no aggressive peels, no at-home devices from now on.
The final week
9. Hydration facial only
A gentle hydrating treatment 5–7 days before the first event. Nothing with strong actives or extractions.
10. Threading and waxing 3 days out
This allows redness to settle completely before makeup.
