Best Hair Treatments for Damaged Hair

Not all damage is the same — and neither are the treatments. Here's how to pick the right one.

Lahore is tough on hair: hard water, intense sun, daily heat styling and, for many of us, years of colour. The good news is that most damage can be visibly improved — if you match the treatment to the problem.

First, diagnose the type of damage

  • Dry and dull: lacks moisture — feels rough, looks frizzy, no shine.
  • Weak and stretchy: lacks protein — snaps easily, feels mushy when wet (common after bleach).
  • Frizzy and unmanageable: cuticle is raised — puffs up in humidity.
  • Breakage at the ends: mechanical damage — split ends that travel upward.

Treatment options

Hair spa / deep conditioning

Best for dry, dull hair. A hair spa with steam pushes moisture and nutrients into the cortex. Results are immediate and last 2–3 weeks. Ideal maintenance every 3–4 weeks.

Bond-repair treatments

Best for chemically weakened hair. These rebuild broken disulphide bonds inside the hair. We include a bond-protect step with every colour service.

Keratin smoothing

Best for frizz and unmanageability. Our formaldehyde-free keratin treatment coats and smooths the cuticle for up to 4 months. It doesn't repair internal damage, but it dramatically reduces the heat styling that causes more of it.

Protein treatments

Best for weak, over-processed hair — but with caution. Too much protein makes hair brittle. Alternate with moisture.

A good haircut

Unglamorous but true: split ends cannot be repaired, only removed. A trim every 8–10 weeks stops damage travelling.

What to do at home

Use a filter shower head for hard water, a heat protectant every time, a silk pillowcase, and avoid tight elastics on wet hair.
