After more than 600 brides, I've learned that the most beautiful bridal makeup in Lahore isn't about more product — it's about preparation, communication and a look that's truly yours. Here's what I tell every bride at our first consultation.

Before the wedding

1. Start skin prep 3 months out

Makeup sits on top of skin; it cannot fix it. A structured pre-bridal skin programme — facials every two weeks plus a simple home routine — makes a bigger difference than any foundation.

2. Book a trial, and bring your dupatta

Your trial should happen 3–6 weeks before the wedding, in daylight, with your jewellery and at least a swatch of your outfit. This is where we decide undertones, lash style and how heavy the look should be for each event.

3. Save references, then let them go

Bring 3–5 inspiration photos, but remember those brides have different features and lighting. A good bridal makeup artist in Lahore will translate the mood, not copy the face.

The week of

4. No new products

Nothing new on your face in the final 7 days — no new serums, no last-minute facials with actives, no threading the day before.

5. Hydrate and sleep

Puffiness and dryness are the two things makeup struggles most to hide. Water, sleep and a cool compress in the morning go a long way.

On the day

6. Arrive with clean, moisturised skin

Cleanse, apply your usual moisturiser and nothing else. We'll handle primer and prep.

7. Eat before you sit down

Bridal makeup and hair takes 3–4 hours. Brides who skip breakfast feel faint under lights — eat something light and bring water with a straw.

8. Trust the mirror, not the phone

Phone cameras in salon lighting can distort colour. Judge the look in the daylight mirror and in the photographer's test shot.

Making it last

9. Setting is layered, not sprayed once

We set in stages — powder, spray, powder again — which is why a well-done bridal look survives tears, hugs and Lahore humidity for 14+ hours.

10. Use your touch-up kit wisely

Blot, don't wipe. Reapply lipstick from the centre out. Your kit includes exactly what you need — nothing more.

11. Different events, different looks

Mehndi should feel fresh and soft; barat is your most defined look; walima is luminous and pearlescent. Don't repeat the same face three times.

12. Enjoy it

You'll never be photographed this much again. The happiest brides are the ones who stop checking and start celebrating.

Frequently asked questions

How much does bridal makeup cost in Lahore?

Premium bridal makeup with hair in Lahore typically ranges from Rs 35,000 to Rs 80,000 per event depending on the artist. ÉLAN's Signature Bridal Makeup starts at Rs 45,000 including trial.

Should I get airbrush or HD makeup for my wedding?

Both photograph beautifully. Airbrush is lighter and very long-wearing; HD offers more coverage for uneven texture. We recommend based on your skin at the trial.
